Finding GeoCafes

Students in my Secret Life of coffee seminar have reviewed dozens of cafes and coffee shops since this blog started in 2011, so travelers in Massachusetts are probably never far from an interesting place to get coffee. The places vary a lot, but have one thing in common: they are independent and usually owned locally. To survive against the big chains, they have to be doing something exceptionally well, whether it is the coffee itself, the food, or positive connections to the local community.

At the time of this writing, we have posted just a few of the shops that are included in the blog. Close to 100 have been reviewed, in several states and a few countries. Check back later to see when they are all here. Meanwhile, if you are out and about in Massachusetts, look for a GeoCafes location near you.

And coming soon: yes, there will be a phone app!

Many thanks to Anay Baez for her work on this map.
