Café Italia

Location:

This beautiful café is located at 228 Atwells Ave in Providence, Rhode Island.

It took my friends and I 43 minutes to get there and it is 37 miles away from Pope Hall at BSU.

Atmosphere:

The atmosphere of this coffee shop was absolutely incredible. It was a lively sit down environment with a plethora of decor. Friends and families gathered to connect with one another. The owner came up to every table and had a personal conversation with everyone. He chatted with us about how nice it was to see the new generations out and about not locked inside our rooms. He enjoyed seeing us sitting together, chatting, laughing and doing homework. It was the best and most personal experience I have ever had inside a dining establishment. No one was a stranger there.

They had a plethora of food from sandwiches to pancakes to desserts. For drinks they had different forms of coffee: americano, espresso, lattes, but they also had alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages most of which were infused with coffee.

At the café, I ordered their signature S'mores Latte in a size small. It was $7.99 USD. This coffee was beautiful presented and tasted amazing. It had chocolatey notes and was slightly bitter with hints of caramel. As someone who does not like coffee I finished the cup. I rate this coffee a 9.5 out of 10.

Café Italia buys their coffee from Illy Coffee Company. They specialize in 100% Arabica espresso blends. They have multiple suppliers from around the world but take ethical and fair trade very seriously.
