Barnhouse Napa Brews: Located in Napa Valley, CA
Hours: Monday- Wednesday 7:00am- 8:00pm
Thursday- Sunday 7:00am- 10:00pm
This coffee shop is run and owned by two best-friends Adam Housley and Eric Barnes. When many cafes were shutting down they decided to open their doors in October of 2021. BarnHouse has a welcoming environment where friends, family and even dogs were stopping by. The menu has a large variety of coffees, ice coffees, expressos and specialty drinks. I went in beginning of March, and got to try the special St. Patrick Day drinks. Others in my party enjoyed, a meed flight, local beers, and other fun drinks they had.
They also had pastries cooked from a local women who baked British food for the shop. Due to this they have a different variety of food each day depending on what she cooks that day. I had a lemon blueberry muffin and it was fantastic. We also got some of the different English meat pies for all of us to split.
BarnHouse has all different types of beans and blends. You can grab a bag of the beans that interest you and the barista will grind them depending on what type of blend the costumer wants. I liked this because when they asked me I was unsure what I wanted and they were able to tell me what would work best for how I was using the coffee, and what coffee it was. They had local blends as well as global blends to chose from.
This Cafe is interesting because it serves two purposes, in the morning to early afternoon it is for coffee and families to start their day or grab a pick me up. It is also advertised at night with different activities each night and a game room called "Shack In The Back". Adam and Eric wanted to create a space that can be used for different things throughout the day and night. Social Media is a large part of how they share the magic of what happens through those doors. On Instagram they post who's working that day and other things happening and other events. They are also good about reposting costumers post about the shop.
The baristas were excellent, they greeted you with a big smile and were not shy on giving input on what you should get. We knew some of them from pervious visits to the tasting room that Adam owns only a couple of doors down. Many work in both places, and create that connection between the two places, but even the new ones were welcoming and treated us like friends. The 3 times I visited each time there were different workers behind the counter. Each knew a lot about what they were doing and made very good drinks.
Barnhouse Napa Brews is located in the "Down Town" area of Napa. About a 5 min walk to Starbucks, most of the stores are located here. I saw many people walking around the stores with coffee from BarnHouse.
