My first reaction when I walked in was that it was very small and cozy with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The coffee bar is located right next to the Bass River Marina, and they incorporate the location into the cafe's vibe. They do this by having a large class window on the back wall with a bar setup that allows customers to drink coffee and watch ships come and go for as long as they please. This, naturally, is where we chose to sit. The inclusion of the window in the back allows for natural light to fill the cafe and give everything a very warm feel.
made makes it taste like black tea. It tastes bitter at first, but leaves a sweet aftertaste”. We also got a hot chocolate in order to get a better feel of the whole menu, the caffeinated and non-caffeinated side. The hot chocolate was also very nice, and unlike many that I have had before, I could taste the chocolate, and I saw that it was brewed in a similar way to the coffee, which is nice because many coffee shops around here use store-bought hot chocolate, so this really sticks out as a positive aspect of this cafe.
After we sat down, I made some observations. There is a large menu that has a wide variety of items, much more than what I was expecting for a coffee shop. There were large refrigerated sections that had lots of snacks and bottles of drinks. They also have a full bakery with a wide assortment of pastries and baked goods. Nearby, there are stands that are full of merchandise with the shop's logo, like their sweatshirt and t-shirts.
Overall, visiting the Harbor Fox coffee bar was a very nice experience and I am happy that this project gave my boyfriend and I the opportunity to try out a new place that we otherwise would not have come across.
